‘There is a community of spirit
Join it, and feel the delight
Of walking in the noisy street,
And being the noise.’ Rumi
Standing proud in the heart of the classical Charlotte Square, St George’s Church overlooks the peaceful gardens. Witnessing tumultuous times in its past, now the dome towers over the Edinburgh book festival, a favourite haunt of mine to soak up some culture in the busy summer.
The Edinburgh Collection was inspired by my love for my adopted home. I cannot escape the grandeur and class of this stately city whose past can be mapped out through its architecture. From a stunning medieval fortress high up on its rocky mount to delicate Victorian glasshouses protecting exotic plants, there is beauty wherever I turn.
These architectural gems are reminiscent of a prosperous era in Scottish, indeed British history and impress all those who travel here, leaving an everlasting imprint on residents and visitors alike.
20% of sale will go to the Parkinsons UK charity in memory of my late father.
